Ella M. McLean

Ella M. McLean, age 94, of Hot Springs, formerly of Glenwood, passed from this life on Sunday, June 4, 2017. She was born on May 1, 1923 in the Mount Tabor community near Glenwood, the daughter of John Tidwell and Amy Long Tidwell. On March 4, 1946, she was married to Billy "Bud" McLean who preceded her in death on February 1, 2005. She was also preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Lewin "Buddy" Tidwell, J. T. Tidwell, Charles Tidwell and Kenny Tidwell; and one sister, Nellie Forga. Ella is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Diane Galloway and Charlotte and Blake Robertson, all of Hot Springs; four grandsons, Robert Galloway and his wife, Louise, David Galloway and Jonathan Robertson, all of Hot Springs, and Stephen Lane of Benton; seven great-grandchildren; and her sister and brother-in-law, Mildred and Walter Scroggs of Little Rock. Services will be held at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, June 7, 2017, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, with her nephews, Bruce Tidwell and Randy Tidwell officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, 2:00 PM until service time, at the chapel. Interment will be in Mount Tabor Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Stephen Lane, Robert Galloway, Jonathan Robertson, David Galloway, Ronnie Tidwell and Harley Tidwell. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Diane Bodemann, the staff of Hospice Home Care, Donna Daniels and Shelley Wright. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
