Elsie M. Bryant

Elsie M. Bryant, age 79, of Roland, passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2021.

She was born on March 23, 1942, in Rogers, Texas, the daughter of Barney Velma Dragoo and Prebble Corine Rosser Dragoo. On January 28, 1965, she was married to the love of her life, Arvil Lee Bryant. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Iva Jean Hixon, Corine Campbell and Joyce Brewster; and three brothers, Barney “R.B” Dragoo, Carlton “Corky” Dragoo and Franklin “Frankie” Dragoo.

In 1960 she graduated Temple High School in Temple, Texas and attended some college through AT&T. Elsie was a member of the Tyler Street United Methodist Church since 1984 and was currently attending the Church at Rock Creek in Little Rock. She retired from AT&T after working many years in Group Manager Operator Services. She was a member of Eastern Star Dal-Cliff Chapter #574. Elsie enjoyed sewing and working in her flower beds.

She is survived by her loving husband, Arvil Bryant of Roland; her son, James Lee Bryant of Little Rock; her grandson, James Andrew Bryant of Little Rock; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Daniel and Darnell Dragoo of Temple, Texas, Paul and Shelia Dragoo of Denton, Texas, Darrell and Pam Dragoo of Temple, Texas and David and Tina Dragoo of Troy, Texas; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Dixie and Bruce Stewart of Temple, Texas and Dorothy and Terry Bland of Temple, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, January 3, 2022, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood with Bro. Bobby Lock officiating.

Visitation will be held 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, Monday, prior to the services at the funeral home.

Interment will be in the Joplin Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Brad Dragoo, Robert Dragoo, John Dragoo, John Morphew, Matt Baker and Adam Baker.
