Eric D. Cook, age 28, of Glenwood died Tuesday, October 29, 2013. He was born on June 4 1985 at Hot Springs. On February 24, 2007, he was married to Monique Lindsey. A United States Army veteran, he served two tours of duty in Iraq. He was a member of the Community Bible Baptist Church, was an avid outdoorsman and had a deep passion for hunting and fishing. Eric was a wonderful and loving husband, father, son and grandson and always loved spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but will live on in their hearts forever. He is survived by his wife, Monique Cook of Glenwood; three children, Natalie Cook, Allie Cook and Brodie Cook of the home; his mother, Catherine Cevela and her husband, Darren, of Hot Springs; his Dad, David Knight of Amity; his father, Gailin Cook and his wife, Caroline, of Umpire; his sister, Robin Cook of Hot Springs; his stepsister, Autumn Jones of Nashville; his grandparents, Royce and Sandy Davis of Glenwood and Lova Cook of Athens; three great-grandmothers, Taletta Christiansen of Athens, Betty Walden of Mount Ida and Shirley Reed of Winthrop; one great-grandfather, Joe Johnson of Artesia, New Mexico; several uncles, aunts and cousins; and a host of friends. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, November 2, 2013, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Bro. Jeremy Graves officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will be in the Mount Gilead Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bud Hulbert, Daniel Rogers, Cole Beebe, Mike Chambers, Billy Chambers, Michael Brewer, Jared Coffman and Ray Lindsey. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Eric Cook Memorial Fund at First National Bank, P.O. Box 770, Glenwood, Arkansas, 71943. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
