Ernest "Booger" Epperson

Ernest "Booger" Epperson, age 91, of Glenwood, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2019. He was born on May 1, 1928 at Daisy, the son of Glard Epperson and Blanche Parker Epperson Mitchell. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Dwight Eugene Epperson; two brothers, Harold Epperson and Kenneth Epperson; and two half-sisters, Bobbye Haggard and Charlene Barnett. He was a retired truck driver and active in the Glenwood Senior Citizens Center. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Bonnie Epperson of Glenwood; his son and daughter-in-law, Lindell Ray "Lynn" and Betty Kay Epperson of Glenwood; two granddaughters and their husbands, Mellisa and Mike White of Eagle River, Alaska and Crystal and Lyndon Kennon of Rancho Cucamonga, California; five great-grandchildren with twins on the way; his step-grandson and his wife, Corey and Ashley Cogburn of Glenwood; his step-granddaughter, Renee Cogburn of Glenwood; his brother and sister-in-law, Johnnie and Elise Mitchell of Glenwood; and a host of nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held 10:00 AM, Wednesday, July 3, 2019, in the Lodi Cemetery with Bro. Tony Hill officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Gary Gehrki and staff, the caring and loving staff and administrators of Courtyard Gardens Health and Rehabilitation Center, O. D. "Darris" Thomas, Sonny Cox, Rachel and John McAlister, and his domino and bingo friends and commodity workers of the Glenwood Senior Citizen Center. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lodi Cemetery Association or Courtyard Gardens Health and Rehabilitation Center, 2701 Twin Rivers Drive, Arkadelphia, Arkansas 71923. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
