Gerald Lambert

Gerald Lambert, age 88, of Amity, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2020.

He was born on August 28, 1932 in Amity, the son of Tillman Lester Lambert and Callie Sue Copeland Lambert. On August 28, 1954, the day he turned twenty-two, he married Fern Garner. He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Treva Henthorn; his son-in-law, Dallas Henthorn; four infant grandchildren; and his brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy Ross and Rose Lambert.

Gerald was a lifelong resident of Amity, a graduate of Amity High School and a member of the Amity First Baptist Church. He was a self-employed logger and truck driver and later worked for Cattleman’s Livestock Market for over 30 years. He enjoyed the outdoors, growing a garden and working with his Dad, especially building the cabin on the Lambert homestead. He loved his family and adored his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Fern Lambert of Amity; his son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Jawana Lambert of Amity; his grandchildren, Leah Lambert, Luke Lambert and Lydia Lambert; his sisters, Floela Kashner of Greenwood and Kathleen Dockery of Hot Springs; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, September 26, 2020, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, with Bro. John McAnally and Bro. Johnny Baker officiating.

Visitation will be Friday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home.

Social distancing directives will be in place with no more than 100 persons, at any one time, attending indoor services in our chapel. At all services, you must avoid all physical contact. Attendees 10 years of age or older must be wearing a face covering at all times while in the funeral home.

Interment will be in the Shiloh Cemetery near Amity.

Pallbearers will be Rusty Garner, Marty Dockery, Jarrod Graves, Stacy Howell, Dusty Skates and Danny McGrew.

Honorary pallbearers will be the doctors, nurses and staff of Twin Rivers Health and Rehabilitation in Arkadelphia.

Memorials may be made to Shiloh Cemetery Association, 159 Deer Park Road, Amity, Arkansas 71921.
