Gladys Mae Stinson Hearn Palmer

Gladys Mae Stinson Hearn Palmer, age 75, of Murfreesboro, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2016. She was born on September 6, 1941, in Wentworth, Missouri, the daughter of John Hower Stinson and Virgie Marie Lees Stinson. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, John Stinson, Jr. and James Edward Stinson; and two sisters, Virginia Lee Scroggins and Ruth Ann Barnum. She enjoyed gardening, watching her hummingbirds, canning, going shopping at the grocery store and Walmart and especially loved cooking for her family and friends. Gladys was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, with a huge and loving heart for everyone she met, never turning anyone away, always making sure they had plenty to eat. She is survived by five children and their spouses, Charles and Darlene Hearn of Kirby, Ronald and Sabrina Hearn of Mount Ida, Russell and Tisha Hearn of Glenwood, James Hearn and Teresa and Tim White, all of Murfreesboro; ten grandchildren, Wesley Hearn, Billy Hearn, Tim Smith, Heather Davidson, Tyler Caldwell, Mary Jo Orr, Brandon White, Hannah Burke, Kendra Burke and Julie Burke; numerous great-grandchildren, step-children, step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren; her sister, Rowena Fern Adams of Louisiana, Missouri; her very special best friend, Donna Abbott of Amity; numerous extended family members; and a host of wonderful friends. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, December 19, 2016, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
