Glenn McIntyre

Glenn McIntyre, age 94, of Little Rock, formerly of El Dorado and Glenwood, died Tuesday, September 28, 2021, in Little Rock, following a lengthy illness.

Born in Evergreen, Alabama on April 8, 1927, he was the son of Walter Lee McIntyre and Belle Snead McIntyre. He graduated from Evergreen High School and attended the University of Alabama, after serving in the Philippines with the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was employed for over 35 years with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and was a former member of Marrable Hill Chapel in El Dorado and a member of First Baptist Church in Glenwood.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Irma McIntyre; his parents; three brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include three daughters and one son, Cindy (Dennis) Lynn of Little Rock, Janice McIntyre of El Dorado, Wanda (Brough) Fox of Fort Worth, Texas and Darrell (Patricia) McIntyre of Gainesville, Texas; one sister, Lottie McIntyre Johnson of Evergreen, Alabama; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

A private family graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 1, 2021, in the Glenwood Cemetery, under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home of Glenwood, with the Rev. Benjy McCann officiating.
