Harold F. Dingler

Harold F. Dingler, age 83, of Kirby, died Friday, February 1, 2013. He was born on May 6, 1929, at Kirby, the son of Fletcher Alvin Dingler and Esther Dickerson Dingler. On January 27, 1957, he was married to his first wife, Carolyn Frazier Dingler, who preceded him in death on March 20, 2003. He was also preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Aaron Dingler; and his nephew, Ronnie Dingler. On June 27, 2003, he was married to Wilma Hinshaw Dingler. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and served in the Korean War; a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 295 for fifty-five years; and traveled extensively working as an electrician and welder, including seven years on Arkansas Nuclear One. He was a member of the Kirby Church of Christ and he enjoyed fishing, woodworking and creating welded art pieces. He is survived by his wife, Wilma Dingler of Kirby; one son, Kent Dingler of Little Rock; one daughter and her spouse, Mitzi Dingler and Nancy of London, Arkansas; one stepson and his spouse, Clay and Susan Hinshaw of Fort Smith; one stepdaughter and her spouse, Dayna and Phil Richards of Fort Smith; one sister and brother-in-law, Betty Sue and Glynn Self of Kirby; three step-grandchildren, Parker Nolen, Hilary Nolen and Elizabeth Hinshaw; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 5, 2013, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Billy Golden and Harloe White officiating. Visitation will be held Monday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will be in the Salem Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be Cole Edwards, Trevor Edwards, Nicky Ballard, Bill Henderson, Jamie Cowart and Paul Doster. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Wayne Funderburk, Frazier Cowart, Pete Pedron, Glynn Self and Bruce Self. Memorials may be made to the Kirby Church of Christ, P.O.
