Hazel Lee Britt

Hazel Lee Britt, age 90, of Pearcy, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 14, 2020.

Hazel was born on May 10, 1930, in Glenwood, the daughter of Joel Schooley Wright and Retter Cornelia Grant Wright. She is preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands, J.W. Montgomery and J.D. Britt; one sister, Myrtis Tidwell; and seven brothers, Hershel Wright, Sterlin Wright, Myrkle Wright, Lester Wright, Haskel Wright, Cloyd Wright and J.T. Wright.

Hazel was a Christian in her faith and a member of Midway Missionary Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and a seamstress. She had a green thumb that could make anything grow and she also loved to read.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, James and Deana Montgomery of Hot Springs; her daughter and son-in-law, Leah and Mike Barlow of Pearcy; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Darrell “Buster” Wright and Joel “Coot” and Billie Wright all of Glenwood and Don and Marlene Wright of Malvern; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Services will be Wednesday, November 18, 2020, at 10:00 AM with Bro. Bobby Lock and Bruce Tidwell officiating in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs.

Interment will be in the Mount Tabor Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, from 6:00PM until 8:00PM.

Social distancing directives will be in place-100-or less inside.

Pallbearers will be Doug Wright, Corby Wright, Tom Wright, Harley Tidwell, Nicholas Reed and Jordan Hightower.

Honorary pallbearers are her special neighbors, Doug Hobby, Marlene Reed and Ronda Wetherington.
