Hilda Janelle Lambert Welch

Hilda Janelle Lambert Welch, age 73, of Amity, passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2021.

She was born on October 9, 1947, in Hot Springs, the daughter of George Franklin Lambert and Ruth Lavern Runyan Lambert. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Welch on February 24, 2013. She was also preceded in death by her son, Tony Hardage; and her parents.

She was Baptist in her faith. She enjoyed working in her flower garden, taking care of her hummingbirds, watching westerns and cooking shows and she especially loved to go deer hunting and fishing. Hilda’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, who she dearly loved with all her heart, especially her great-granddaughter, who lovingly called her “Popsicle Granny”.

She is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Scotty and Teresa Hardage and Joe Hardage, all of Amity; five grandchildren, Benjamin Hardage of Kirby, Maggie Hardage of Conway, Drew Turner, Gracie Hardage and Tyler Hardage, all of Glenwood; her great-granddaughter, Raylee Grace Hardage; her brother and sister-in-law, Donald Wayne “Buddy” and Joyce Lambert of Amity; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Sally and Donald Shirley of Amity, Marsha and Marlon Yarbrough of Glenwood, Rosemary Lambert of Bismarck and Nancy and Russell Doss of Amity; her very special friends, Carolyn Chambers of Nashville and Debbie Woodward of Amity; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, August 4, 2021, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood with Bro. James Owens officiating.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, at the funeral home.

Interment will be in the Sweet Home Cemetery, Amity.

Pallbearers will be Benjamin Hardage, Maggie Hardage, Adam Porter, Russell Doss and Orey Doss.
