Imogene Pittman

Imogene Pittman, age 88, of Norman, passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2018. She was born on July 3, 1930, in Norman, the daughter of Marion Bush and Dovie Estelle Campbell Bush. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Pittman on September 6, 2005. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two great-granddaughters, Whitley Cooper and Brooke Pittman; three brothers, Gerald, James and Harley; one sister, Inez; and her son-in-law, Hewitt Hicks. She attended Faith Tabernacle in Mount Ida and worked for over twenty-five years at Mount Ida Footwear until her retirement. After she retired, she decided to go back to work and proudly worked for many more years with the Senior Companion program, now known as Home Health Care. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, sewing, shopping, and going out to eat with family and friends, especially at the Fish Nest. Imogenes greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, but her most cherished and favorite times were Thanksgiving and Christmas, when she had everyone together. She deeply loved every member of her family and will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Steve Pittman and Judy, of Glenwood and Travis Pittman of Norman; six daughters and four sons-in-law, Ivy Hicks-Nichols and Ernie of Norman, Barbara Angel and Jimmy of Glenwood, Marilyn Singleton and Tim of Little Rock, Freda Garmon of Oden, Rhonda Jolie and Bob of Mount Ida and Becky Pittman of Hot Springs; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, August 28, 2018, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, with Bro. Don Vaughn officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Black Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Angel, Tim Singleton, Clayton Pittman, Preston Hicks, Blake Angel and Calvin Nichols. Honorary pallbearers will be the nurses and staff of Arkansas Hospice, 5th Floor, CHI St. Vincent-Hot Springs. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
