Janet Ray Minton

Janet Ray Minton, age 68, of Story, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2020. She was born on March 4, 1952 in Hot Springs, the daughter of Hubert Echols and Cecil Smith Echols. On January 29, 1984, she was married to Kenneth Minton. She was preceded in death by her son, Jason Minton; her parents; four brothers, H. C. Echols, Gene Echols, Robbie Echols and Bobbie Echols; and three sisters, Loretta Echols, Joy Shackelford and Geneva Ellis. She was a Baptist in her faith and a homemaker. She enjoyed going to yard sales and taking her grandchildren to the lake. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Minton of Story; her son, Jeremy Minton of Hot Springs; three grandsons, Tristan Minton, Daniel Paul Minton and Gage Michael Minton; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ricky and Stacie Echols and Dicky and Brenda Echols, all of Hot Springs; two sisters, Mary Lewis of Sherwood and Julia Winfrey of Hot Springs; and several nieces and nephews.
