She was born on April 3, 1936, near Bonnerdale, the daughter of Robert Clarence Betts and Elsie Viola Rasberry Betts. She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, W. T. Betts, R. J. Betts, Jackie “Buddy” Betts, Cecil Betts and Edward Betts; and two sisters, Ima Kellogg and Judy Forbes. On May 27, 1955, she was married to Harlan “Squeaky” Robbins.
