Jimmy F. Reppo, age 79, of Glenwood, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2019. He was born on July 5, 1940, in Bonnerdale, the son of Winnfred Eugene Reppo and Cleodus Lambert Reppo. On July 9, 1960, he married Naomi Payte. He was preceded in death by one son, Mike Reppo; his parents; two brothers, Donny Reppo and George Reppo; and one sister and brother-in-law, Bobbie and Bill Foust. Jimmy was a Christian in his faith and a 1958 graduate of Caddo Gap High School. He played on the 1958 mens basketball team that had a 33-1 record and were first runners-up in the state championship. He went on to become a four year letterman in basketball for Henderson State from 1958 to 1962. Jimmy still holds the Henderson State record for per game scoring average for a single season and in 2019, was inducted into the Henderson Reddies Hall of Honor. In 1962, he graduated from Henderson State Teachers College with a Bachelor of Science in Education. After serving two years in the United States Army, Jimmy coached four years at Jessieville High School and then returned to Henderson as assistant basketball coach to Don Dyer, where he completed his Masters degree. The remainder of his coaching career was first spent at Bradley High School, where he led the senior girls to win the state championship. He then also coached at Taylor and Caddo Hills High Schools. After retiring from coaching, Jimmy managed Rocky Pines Farms. He also served as a volunteer fireman and first responder for the Bonnerdale Fire Department for over thirty years. He enjoyed watching and playing all sports and was an avid Razorback fan. He is survived by his wife, Naomi Reppo of Glenwood; one son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Priscilla Reppo of Glenwood; five grandchildren, Jillyan, Jakob, Justin, Brandon and Breanna; six great-grandchildren, Vally, Thira, Marlie, Hallie, Eli and Leah; one brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Donna Reppo of Hurricane, Utah; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, October 12, 2019, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, with Bro. Ronny Noles and Pastor Brandon Westgate officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, 2:00 PM until service time at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mount Tabor Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Sonny Cox, Greg Williams, Justin Reppo, Brandon Reppo, Jerry Mooney and Mike Mooney. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Tim Bainum, Jan Harrist, Hank Holt, Coach Paul Nossier, Coach Ken Allen, Coach Tommy Barrett and the Caddo Gap Mens Basketball Team of 1958.
