Jimmy Wayne Markham

Jimmy Wayne Markham, age 47, of Glenwood, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2020. He was born on May 1, 1972, in Hot Springs, the son of Travis Markham and Bonnie Kitchens Markham. On July 8, 1990, he was married to Janese Dove. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Brittany Markham; his paternal grandparents, Gus and Rena Markham; his maternal grandparents, Wesley and Ola Kitchens; and his mother-in-law, Ruby Dove. He was a logger and worked alongside his family in their logging business for many years. Jimmy enjoyed the outdoors, camping and riding horses and ATVs. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family, whom he dearly loved. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife, Janese Markham; his loving son, Zachary Markham, both of Glenwood; his parents, Travis and Bonnie Markham of Glenwood; two brothers, Troy Markham of Nashville and Robert Markham of Glenwood; three brothers-in-law and their spouses, Ken and Elaina Dove of Louisiana, Neil Dove and Jimmy and Marie Dove, all of Glenwood; five sisters-in-law and their spouses, Loretta and Don Barber of Louisiana, Deborah and Gary Wright, Martha and Chuck Lambert, all of Glenwood, Linda and David Salisbury of Hope and Christie and Devin Smith of Glenwood; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members; and a host of wonderful and loving friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 12, 2020, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood with Bro. Melvin Markham and Bro. Brian Hill officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Glenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kevin Golden, Devin Smith, Chuck Lambert, Shawn Lambert, Joseph Mobbs and Justin McCauley. Honorary pallbearers will be David Salisbury and Gary Wright.
