John E. Turner

John E. Turner, age 73, of Caddo Gap, died Sunday, June 12, 2011. He was born on July 16, 1937, at Elizabethtown, Kentucky, the son of Charles Turner and Mary Ray Turner. On January 6, 1963, he was married to Rachel Collins. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Charles "Butch" Turner; and one sister, Lillian "Tootsie" Turner. He was retired from Amity Paint and Lacquer and attended the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Caddo Gap. He is survived by his wife, Rachel Turner of Caddo Gap. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, June 16, 2011, in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Caddo Gap with Bro. Ray Brownholtz officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.
