Johnnie Davidson, age 63, of Amity, died Tuesday, April 24, 2012. She was born on June 7, 1948, at Hot Springs. On August 30, 1968, she was married to Burton K. Davidson. She was preceded in death by her father, John R. Delong, her mother, Ruthie Jean Francis Delong and her grandson, Andrew Mount. She was a Registered Nurse for more than thirty years, working at St. Joseph's Mercy Health Center until her retirement. Johnnie was always a hard working and kind-hearted person, who took great joy and pride in working in her beautiful flower gardens. She will be forever remembered in our hearts as our loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She is survived by her husband, Burt Davidson of Amity; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia and Jeff Stracener of Bismarck and Sandra and Tony Hurrell of Amity; five grandchildren, Kalob Woodall, Catherine Deaton, Samuel, Trenton and Xavier Ingram; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Joanne Smith of Conway, Barbara Russell of Eureka, California and Debbie Buck of Alpine; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, April 27, 2012, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Rev. Susan Miller officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be the nurses and staff of ICU at St. Joseph's Mercy Health Center, the nurses and staff of Arkansas Hospice, 5th Floor of St. Joseph's Mercy Health Center; and two very special friends and former co-workers who have always meant so much to Johnnie, Sister Dorothy and Sister Stevens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Arkansas Autism-AAROC, 2001 Pershing Circle, Suite 300, North Little Rock, Arkansas, 72114-1841 or to the Friendship Cemetery Association, c/o Chambers Bank, P.O.
