Jon Orr

Jon Orr, age 40, of Murfreesboro, passed away on Monday, November 29, 2021.

He was born on May 9, 1981, in De Queen, the son of Dennis Joe Orr and Laurah Dianne Folsom Orr. He was preceded in death by his father; and his aunt, Carolyn Manry.

He enjoyed reading, woodworking and taking long hikes exploring nature. Jon’s greatest joy in life was spending time with his wife and children. His family was his world and he truly loved them with all his heart. He will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Michelle Orr of Murfreesboro; his two sons, Jeremiah Orr and Lukas Orr; his stepchildren, Michael Mendez and Angela Mendez; his mother, Laurah Orr of Nathan; his brother, Joseph Orr of Cave Springs; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jim and Lisa Gatliff of Delight; three nephews, Zeke, Zane and Zack; his best friend, Johnathan Lee of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and numerous extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, December 4, 2021, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood.

Visitation will be held Friday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home.

Interment will be in the Pike City Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Johnathan Lee, Eric Richards, Travis Evans, Shawn Flaherty, Ryan Stinson and Creed Brantley.
