Joyce Bridges

Joyce Bridges, age 82, of Mount Ida, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2014. She was born on September 22, 1932, in Hastings, Oklahoma the daughter of Hollie Frost and Lena Rue Frost. On May 6, 1950, she was married to Gene Bridges. She was preceded in death by two sons, Michael Eugene Bridges and Terry Lee Bridges; and her parents. She was a member of the Mount Ida First Baptist Church. She and her husband owned and operated Ozark Cedar. She is survived by her husband, Gene Bridges of Mount Ida; her son, Bruce Bridges of Mount Ida; four grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, January 4, 2015, in the Mount Ida First Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Rogers officiating. Interment will be in the Mount Ida Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be Ivan Frost, Ricky Edwards, Terry Bridges, Jeremy Bridges, Brandon Bridges and Mike Clark. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
