Junior Hopper

Junior Hopper, age 78, of Amity, passed away on Friday, December 25, 2020, with his daughters by his side.

He was born on March 11, 1942 in Caddo Gap, the son of Dale Hopper and Kathryn Sailing Hopper. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Linda Sue Hopper, Joyce Marie Hopper and Faye Stewart; and two brothers, Jerry Hopper and Willie Hopper.

Raised in the Caddo Gap and Hopper communities, Junior loved the log woods and deer hunting. While hunting, he was known as “Trigger Man!” Most of all, he loved being “Nunner” to his grandkids lovingly nicknamed, Dody, Tootsie and Bubba.

Left to cherish his memory are his two daughters and sons-in-law, Twyla and Hayes Boyd of Dierks and Susann and Tommy Lambert of Amity; two granddaughters, Jaydin and Jordyn Cotter; one grandson, Aaron Lambert; his sister and brother-in-law, Lavola and Danny Whisenhunt of Caddo Gap; his brother and sister-in-law, George and Virginia Hopper of Kirby; his sister-in-law, Leta Hopper of Amity; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, January 1, 2021, in the Shiloh Cemetery with Bro. Doyle “Boots” Horn officiating.

Visitation will be Thursday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank the staff of Dierks Health and Rehab for all of their love and support.
