Kenneth Castleberry

Kenneth Castleberry, age 83, of Hot Springs, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2022.

He was born on September 5, 1938, in Cedar Glades, the son of Ottie Henry Castleberry and Alva Juanita Roland Castleberry. On July 17 1959, he married the love of his life, Judy Holden. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Carroll Wayne Castleberry.

Kenneth was a Christian man and a faithful member of Center Fork Missionary Baptist Church for 42 years, where he served on the finance committee for many years. He partnered with Dick Holden for over 50 years in Hot Springs Monuments, which his father-in-law, Ernest J. Holden, started in 1934. He was an avid outdoorsman, but his family was his priority. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend who will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

Kenneth is survived by his wife of 62 years, Judy Castleberry of Hot Springs; three sons and daughters-in-law, Kurt and Donna Castleberry of Little Rock, Doug and Viki Castleberry of Bryant, and Troy and Mikala Castleberry of Searcy; ten grandchildren, Kaitlin, Kelsey, Colin, Lucas, Evan, Scarlett, Ainsley, Drew, Brynn, and Micah; four great-grandchildren, Hallie, Harrison, Harper and Ben; nieces, nephews, extended family and many wonderful friends who will miss him.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Monday, January 24, 2022, with Bro. Scott Bates officiating in the Chapel at Smith Family Funeral Home-Hot Springs (formerly Davis-Smith Funeral Home, 2205 Airport Road).

Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be held 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM, Sunday, January 23, 2022.

Pallbearers will be Lucas Castleberry, Evan Castleberry, Colin Castleberry, Drew Castleberry, Greg Spurlin, Ken Spurlin, and Richard Holden.

Honorary pallbearers are Ralph Wacaster, Donnie Qualls, Ron Bugg and Carl Tournquist.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that memorials be made to Center Fork Baptist Church.
