Kenneth Grant, age 81, of Glenwood, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2020.

He was born on February 11, 1939 in Glenwood, the son of Calvert Grant and Gladys Wright Grant. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Max Grant.

Kenneth owned and operated the River Valley Livestock Market in Ola for over fourteen years and was a well known livestock auctioneer. He was a member of the Arkansas Auctioneers Association, Arkansas Cattlemen’s Association and the American Quarter Horse Association. Kenneth enjoyed working with cattle, raising horses, operating dozers and just working with his hands. He enjoyed rodeos and produced rodeos.

He is survived by three children and their spouses, Tommy and Mershelle Grant and Lisa and Doug Ware, all of Glenwood, and Bridget and Enoch Walker of Danville; six grandchildren, Lindsey Martin and her husband, Michael, Sydney Grant, Heath Galloway, Hunter Ware, Kassie Powers and her husband, Jace, and Josie Walker; five great-grandchildren, Alex Martin, Braxton Martin, Shiloh Burton, Taylin Galloway and Ruby Galloway; his brother, Carroll Ray Grant of Hot Springs; two sister, Betty McGrew of Glenwood and Ina Standridge of Conway; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, November 6, 2020, in the Glenwood First Church of the Nazarene with Bro. Jack Herring and Bro. Don Vaughn officiating.

Visitation will be Thursday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home.

Social distancing directives will be in place with no more than 66% of the total seating capacity occupied at the church and funeral home chapel, avoidance of physical contact and all attendees 10 years of age or older must be wearing a face covering at all times.

Interment will be in Mount Tabor Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Tidwell, Michael Martin, Heath Galloway, Hunter Ware, Roger Scroggins and Dan Forga.
