Lana Carol Bryant

Lana Bryant, age 76, of Hot Springs, passed away Thursday, November 5, 2020.

Lana was born on February 4, 1944, in Enid, Oklahoma, the daughter of O. J. Smith and Nellie Roberts Smith. On May 30, 1962, she married Lloyd Bryant. She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Jessie Smith; her four sisters and brothers-in-law, Ollie and Harry Froese, Virginia and Hal Johnson, Dora and Harry Ingram and Betty and Joe Wycoff.

Lana was Christian in her faith and was a member of United Full Gospel Church. She loved singing and had a beautiful voice and she was often asked to sing for many occasions. Reading was one of the things she enjoyed and especially her bible. She and Lloyd loved making jewelry together and she also enjoyed arranging flowers. Lana retired after 20 years of service as a secretary for the Department of Human Services here in Hot Springs. Lana will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Lloyd Bryant; her two daughters and sons-in-law, Tamara and Robert Wallis of Muscatine, Iowa and Kimberly and Rusty Scoles of Hot Springs; four grandchildren and their spouses, Logan Madden, Adam and Joyce Madden, Sebastian and Elizabeth Blocker and Tristan Scoles; and her four great-grandchildren, Ashton Maloney, Ellie Maloney, Chloe Maloney and Julia Blocker.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM, Tuesday, November 10, 2020, in Gaston Cemetery, with Pastor Robert Howell officiating.

Visitation will be held from 5:00PM until 7:00PM Monday evening at the funeral home. Social distancing directives will be in place-100-or less at a time in chapel, face covering must be worn.

Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs.
