Lennie Bell Kennedy Wilson, age 77, of Glenwood, died Saturday, January 12, 2013. She was born on August 20, 1935, in Glenwood, the daughter of Grandville Kennedy and Imer Garrett Kennedy. On July 5, 1961, she was married to Bro. Elbert Wilson who preceded her in death on April 12, 2009. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her son-in-law, Rick Kesterson; four brothers, Ralph Kennedy, Gordon Kennedy, Stahl Kennedy and Haskell Kennedy; and one sister, Juanita Kennedy Raines. On May 19, 1962, the pride and joy and greatest accomplishment of her life, her daughter, Sarah Jane Wilson, was born. Lennie was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her daughter, Sarah Kesterson of Glenwood; her two precious grandchildren, Wilson Kesterson and Bell Kesterson, both of Glenwood; her nephew, Christopher Raines; special friends, Harold and Leona Ham, Betty Tucker and Jane Cowart; and her caregiver, Theresa Ross Parrish. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, January 14, 2013, in the County Line Cemetery with Bro. Scott Vaughn and Bro. Raymond Dees officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be Johnce Parrish, Frank Kaiser, Derek Vaughn, Jimmy Morphew and Joe W. Burke. Honorary pallbearers will be Ellen Moreland, Theresa Ross Parish and Dr. Ray K. Nelson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Elbert Wilson Theological Scholarship Foundation, 314 Wilson Road, Glenwood, Arkansas, 71943. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
