Leona Barnett

Leona Barnett, age 94, of Pearcy, passed away on Monday, August 9, 2021.

She was born on June 1, 1927, in Hot Springs, the daughter of Ernest Magby and Hazel Chambers Magby. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen “Moose” Barnett on March 2, 2010; her parents; an infant son; and one great-grandson, Hunter Gilbert.

Leona was a Christian in her faith and a homemaker. She was a fantastic singer who loved to entertain and a great cook. Mom loved her family with all her heart and her pets were treated just like the rest of us. We will miss her dearly and look forward to seeing her and “Moose” in heaven.

She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Travis and Donna Smith, Mike and Maranda Smith, and Bill and Darlene Smith, all of Pearcy; her daughter, Debbie Radley of Royal; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandson; two brothers, Robert Magby and Leonard Magby, both of Hot Springs; one sister, Dovie Pritchard of Hot Springs; numerous nieces, nephew, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Graveside services will be 10:00 AM, Monday, August 16, 2021, with Bro. Teddy Hill officiating, in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery, under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs.
