Linda Barrett

Linda Barrett, age 78, of Amity, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2017. She was born on December 2, 1938 in Monroeville, Indiana, the daughter of Carl Knefelkamp and Ruth Hill Knefelkamp. On September 24, 1956, she was married to Ray Barrett who preceded her in death on April 11, 2015. She was also preceded in death by her son, Rickey Barrett; her daughter, Joann Barrett; her parents; her brother, Eddie Knefelkamp; and two sisters, Carol Rhymer and Mary Elzey. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. She is survived by six children and their spouses, Brenda Love of Black Springs, Melba and Kenneth Lamb of Oden, Peggy and Rickey Lee of Alpine, Carl and Robin Barrett of Glenwood, D'Nelle and Roger Prince of Amity and Debbie Huffman of Delight; 27 grandkids; 54 great-grandkids; 3 great-great-grandkids; two sisters, Sharon Schaefer of Decatur, Indiana and Remay Palmer of Amity; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be announced by the family at a later date. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
