Linda Elaine Bobo

Linda Elaine Bobo, age 64, of Black Springs, died Sunday, December 11, 2011. She was born on August 19, 1947, at Millerton, Oklahoma, the daughter of G. W. Tyler and Mary Alice Reed Tyler. On August 21, 1964, she was married to Jerry Bobo. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Susie Tyler; and her son-in-law, Jon Ellis. She was a 1965 honor graduate from Norman High School and a member of the Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and worked with Jerry on the farm raising livestock. Linda was an avid crappie fisherman, enjoyed reading and watching her children and grandchildren play sports. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Bobo of Black Springs; three children and their spouses, JayDee and Rodney Standridge of Norman, Dallas and Joyce Bobo of Black Springs and Sara Elaine and Eric Ewing of Glenwood; nine grandsons, Russell and April Ellis, Bryan and Ashley Bobo, John Martin Ellis, Samuel Jere Ewing, Daniel Reed Ewing, Robert Wayne Bobo, Nathanael E. Laine Ewing, Matthew Standridge and Justus Bobo; one great-grandchild on the way; one brother and sister-in-law, Rudy and Jeanie Tyler of Oklahoma; one sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Dan Brew of South Dakota; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, December 14, 2011, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Bro. Kyle Cowart and Bro. David Roark officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will be in the Black Springs Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be Randy Meeks, Bill Ray, Dal Love, Truett Love, Paul Shelton, Tater Morphew, David Lybrand and Ronald Cescacline. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of Cowart Construction Ladies Softball Team that Linda coached in the early 1990's, Dr. Matthew Webb and the nurses and staff of Genesis Cancer Center.
