Loneta Jo Hunt

Loneta "Jo" Hunt, age 85, of Hot Springs, died Saturday, March 14, 2020. She was born on November 25, 1934, in Foreman, the daughter of Burgess Foster Sharp and Bonnie Pauline Crouch Sharp. She was preceded in death by two sons, Roger Spigner and Don Spigner; one daughter, Patsy Crews; her parents; and one brother, Freddie Sharp. She was Baptist in her faith and was a wonderful example for her precious family, which was Jos greatest joy, and she loved spending time with them. Jo worked for Keith Smith Poultry, as a private contractor for over thirty years, where she met many people in the poultry farms who became her friends. Jo enjoyed flowers and cooking, her specialties were chicken and dressing and potato soup. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband, Virgil Hunt, Jr. of Point Cedar; her three sons, Jerry Spigner of Pearcy, Wesley Spigner of Point Cedar and Dale Spigner of Oklahoma; her eleven grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Roger Sharp of Farmington Hills, Michigan and James and Jo Ann Sharp of Sulphur, Oklahoma; her six sisters, Margaret Wilson of Houston, Texas, Emma Phillips of Ashdown, Evelyn Lindsey of Genoa, Louise Lemons of Nashville, Peggy Lacefield of DeQueen and Sue Thompson of Hot Springs, nieces, nephews, extended family members and many wonderful friends. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, March 17, 2020, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs, with Bro. George Vincent officiating. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
