Lonnie Timbs, age 81, of Hot Springs, passed away on Monday, March 15, 2021.

He was born on March 9, 1940, in Hot Springs, the son of the late Harry Alonzo Timbs and Lillian Price Timbs. Lonnie was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 58 years, Mary Pauline “Polly” Timbs. He missed her dearly and prayed for a speedy reunion.

Lonnie was a talented mechanic and body-man. Automobiles were a life-long passion and hobby of his. He spent countless hours in retirement tinkering with his Model “T”. He also loved to work in the yard and it was a tremendous source of pride for him and Polly. Lonnie was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army.

He is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Tony and Dana Timbs of Royal and Kelly Timbs of Bonnerdale; one grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Cody and Allison Harris of Nashville, Tennessee; one great-grandson, Kyle Harris; one brother, Harrel Timbs; one sister, Jeanette Oliver, both of Hot Springs; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, March 19, 2021, in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Teddy Frye officiating.

Visitation will be Thursday, 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs.
