Lonnie Warnick

Lonnie Warnick, age 83, of Norman, passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021.

He was born on May 15, 1937 in Norman, the son of Hester Charlie Warnick and Dolly Mae Tigue Warnick. He was preceded in death by his wives, Judy Johnson Warnick and Janie Black Warnick; his parents; three sons, William “Bill” Warnick, Donnie Warnick and Boyd Warnick; and two brothers, Lester “Deazer” Warnick and Thurman Warnick.

Lonnie was a United States Navy veteran and member of Liberty Baptist Church. He was a retired pulpwood hauler and sawmill worker. He enjoyed working in his garden.

He is survived by three children and their spouses, Reeva and Dale Brewer of Norman, Ronnie and Kaye Warnick of Murfreesboro and Hector and Jamie Warnick of Mount Ida; his grandchildren, Josey Romine, Sydney Brewer, Carrie Jackson, Jeremy Warnick, Rhonda Miller, Laura Pluckett and Michelle Lake; his brother, Dennis Wornick of Norman; and the mother of his sons, Sue Myers.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 10, 2021, in the Mount Gilead Cemetery with Bro. Scott Vaughn officiating.

Pallbearers will be Michael Brewer, Willy Brewer, Levi Romine, Alton Bean, Jeremy Warnick and Darrell Wornick.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kenzie Brewer, Hunter Brewer, Ray Brewer, Laiken Brewer, Maeycee Sliger, Josey Romine, Sydney Brewer, Shelly Miner and Piper Black.

Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.
