Louie Jeff Ewing

October 20, 1942 — April 3, 2021

Louie Jeff Ewing, age 78, of Glenwood, passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2021.

He was born on October 20, 1942, in Montgomery County, the son of Herbert Matthew Ewing and Verma Ravan Ewing. He was proceeded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Jere Ewing and Mack Ewing.

He was a veteran of the United States Army National Guard and was Seventh-day Adventist in his faith. He worked as a troubleshooter for Allied/Altell from 1967 until his retirement in 1985. He loved to go catfishing, deer hunting, swimming, diving and really enjoyed his daily walks to the Café, where he would visit with his wonderful coffee drinking buddies at the roundtable.

Jeff’s greatest joy in life was spending time with his family, especially traveling to watch his grandchildren participate in their different sports. He truly loved his family and friends and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but he has left us all with many cherished memories to share and hold on to forever.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Stephen Eric and Sara Elaine Ewing of Mount Tabor; his daughter and son-in-law, Jeffrey and Ronnie Duke of Glenwood; his five grandchildren and their spouses, Samuel Jere and Morgan Ewing, Daniel Reed and Tessa Ewing, Nathanael Eric Laine and Jade Ewing, Jalyn and Tim Duncan and Denby Jester; two great-grandchildren, Kingston Jere Ewing and Mayla Jade Ewing; his very special life-long friend and mother of his children, Carolyn Jarvis of Glenwood; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
