Lucion Dobbs

Lucion Dobbs, age 70, of Mount Ida, died Friday, December 21, 2012. He was born on May 20, 1942, at Pencil Bluff, the son of John Dobbs and Medroth Purdom Dobbs. On June 13, 1975, he was married to Frances York. He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Virgil Dobbs, J. D. Dobbs and Grady Dobbs, Sr. He was a farmer and an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his wife, Frances Dobbs of Mount Ida; his mother-in-law, Marie York of Langley; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jean Dobbs, Ramona and Horace Bailey, Roger and Jeannie York and Phyllis and Alan Bear; four nephews, Mike Dobbs, Grady Dobbs, Jr., James Dobbs and Donald Dobbs; and four nieces, Debra Talley, Jennifer Morphew, Kristen Benjamin and Cammie York. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, December 23, 2012, in the Langley Hall Cemetery with Bro. Keith Shewbart officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be Mike Dobbs, Danny Sheets, Ted Gaither, Grady Dobbs, Bob Morphew and Horace Bailey. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
