Mary M. Kilgore

Mary M. Kilgore, age 91, of Pearcy, passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2018. She was born on March 20, 1927 in Gentry, Missouri, the daughter of Paul Hunter and Mary Harriet Bogue Hunter. In 1959, she married Bill Kilgore who preceded her in death in 1991. She was also preceded in death by her son, Randy Floyd, in 2008. She and her husband owned and operated Grannys Kitchen in downtown Hot Springs until his death. They also owned Duke Shoes. They raised thoroughbred horses and raced in tracks all across the country. They both loved the horses and heart of the racing industry. She always had a love for animals and their humane care and she was never without her pet dogs and cats. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kandi and Eric Gooden; her granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Nikki and Drew Albright; and her two grandchildren, Tucker and Maddie Albright, all of Pearcy. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, October 15, 2018, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs, with Rev. Scott Gallimore and Pastor Brandon Westgate officiating. Visitation will be Monday, 1:00 PM until service time, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Eric Gooden, Drew Albright, Eric Thomason, Scott Birdwell, Paul Gooden and Brandon Westgate. Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Brookfield Memory Care and Lake Hamilton Health and Rehab. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Garland County, P.O.
