Mildred West Inman

Mildred West Inman, age 72, of Arkadelphia, passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2016. She was born on October 15, 1944, in Bluffton, Arkansas, the daughter of Joseph Edgar Evans and Lola Jane Whisenhunt Evans. On November 13, 2001, she was married to Alan Dale Inman. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Loyd Evans, Hoyt Evans and Sonny Evans; and two sisters, Marie Smith and Gracie Jordan. A Baptist in her faith, she always enjoyed being outdoors, bird watching and working in her beautiful flower gardens. She will always be remembered as a gifted and talented seamstress, sewing for many years for the public, making several of the Arkadelphia cheerleaders' uniforms. Her daughter will always cherish the beautiful wedding gown that she made for her wedding day. She was also a wonderful cook and enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. Mildred was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, whose greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren, whom she adored. She truly loved everyone in her family and always tried to make sure they knew how much she cherished each and every one of them. She is survived by her husband, Alan Inman of Arkadelphia; her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Cheryl Kay West of Hollywood; her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Jane and Roger Chitwood of New Boston, Texas; six grandchildren, Kristy West, Kolton West, Bray Chitwood, Breanna Chitwood, Brandi Chitwood and Brody Chitwood; one brother, Kenneth Joe Evans of Nashville; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members; and a host of wonderful friends. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, November 30, 2016, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Bro. Bobby Lock officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Barber Cemetery in Sims. Pallbearers will be Brad Evans, Timmy Evans, Kevin Evans, Troyce Smith, Kevin Couch and Jeremy Mitchell. Honorary pallbearers will be the nurses and staff of St. Vincent in Little Rock and Cornerstone Hospital of Little Rock Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
