Paula Renia "NayNay" Howell

Paula Renia “NayNay” Howell, age 57, of Amity, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2020, with her beloved Rik by her side.

She was born on April 25, 1963, in Murfreesboro, the daughter of James Elbert Howell and Flora Lee Boyd Howell. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Bobby Lee Howell; and two nephews, Danny Lee Howell and James Edward Howell.

She was a devout Christian and a member of Amity Second Baptist Church, where she cherished her church family. She enjoyed eating out and dearly loved her family. Her greatest joy in life was spending every treasured moment she was given with Rik, her fiancée, who also made the last year of NayNay’s life the happiest she ever dreamed of. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by the true love of her life, her fiancée, Rik Orton of Sparkman; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, James Roland and Carolyn Howell of Alexander, William Junior Howell of Amity and George and Debbie Howell of Glenwood; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Wanda and Kenneth Keener of Amity and Doris and Doug Donald of Camas, Washington; her sister-in-law, Nancy Howell of Hot Springs; eleven nieces and nephews and their spouses, Bill and Celesta Howell, Nancy “Liz” and Larry Loe, Laura and Kent Mahan, Michael Howell, Alan and Sandra Keener, Walter and Jennifer Keener, Duane and Trina Donald, Russ and Jordan Donald, Lisa and Kyle Orr, Kinzie and Randy Bour and Nathan and Casey Howell; numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, August 12, 2020, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood with Bro. Keith Howell and Bro. Jimmy Forsythe officiating.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home.

Social distancing directives will be in place with no more than 100 persons, at any one time, attending indoor services. At all services, you must avoid all physical contact. Attendees 10 years of age or older must be wearing a face covering which always conceals the mouth and nose.

Interment will be in the Jones Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be her nephews.

Honorary pallbearers will be the nurses and staff of the Hot Springs Nursing and Rehab.

Memorials may be made to the Jones Cemetery Fund, 316 North Hill Street, Amity, Arkansas 71921.
