Peggy Adams

Peggy Adams, age 83, of Amity, died Thursday, October 23, 2014. She was born on December 9, 1930 at Amity, the daughter of Charlie E. Thomasson and Birdie D. Johnson Thomasson. On October 19, 1970, she was married to Fletcher Adams who preceded her in death on May 31, 2008. She was employed for over 40 years at the Bank of Amity, now Chambers Bank and a member of the Amity United Methodist Church. She is survived by her sister, Bonnie Jean Sayles of Colorado Springs, Colorado; her niece, Judy Cash; her great-nephew, Michael Cash, both of Amity; and several other nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, October 27, 2014, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, with Bro. John McAnally officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will be in Friendship Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ricky Johnson, Erman Mauldin, Johnny Gould, Kenny Lyons, Johnny Francis and Dale Richardson. Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of Chambers Bank. Memorials may be made to the Friendship Cemetery Fund at any Chambers Bank or by mail at PO Box 7, Amity, Arkansas 71921.
