Rev. Curtis C. Grant

On the morning of September 8, 2017, surrounded by family, Pastor Curtis C. Grant, 85, passed away peacefully at St. Johns Hospital, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Pastor Curtis Grant was born in Montgomery County, Arkansas on March 11, 1932, to the late Lester Benjamin Grant and Elizabeth Clementine Tallent Grant. He was preceded in death by brothers, Houston, Rev. Walter V., Virgil, Huey P., Maxwell, and Rev. Haskell; Curtis sisters, Bennie Fay Grant, Sudie Eady, Myrtle White, Vivian Meek and Vicie May James. Curtis is survived by his wife of 64 years, Patti; daughters, Debbye Caryl Graafsma, husband Rev. Bill Graafsma of Matthews, NC and Kari Elisabeth Campbell, husband Vance Campbell of Lowell, MA.; sister, Hazel House of Hot Springs. He leaves five grandchildren, Rachel Fesko, Bethany Graafsma, Michelle Graafsma, Lydia Campbell and Caedmon Campbell; and two great grandchildren, Arabella and Ian Fesko. Curtis and Patti began a life adventure with the Lord in July, 1953. Curtis was ordained in the Assemblies of God, USA in 1954 and ministered with T.L. Osborn Ministries for 18 years, serving three in Australia, afterwards, editor and writer. He then felt to help ministries with their publications and founded Custom Graphics helping over 100 ministries. He then went in full time teaching and preaching ministry. In 1988, he and Patti returned to Australia where they pastored and built a church and parsonage in Kingaroy, Queensland. Through their ministry, Waymarks, he produced scripture posters and cards, wrote numerous tracts, six books, four in three languages, ministered in Papua New Guinea several times, just completed and sent to the printer his book/pictorial, "The Great Southlands of the Holy Spirit." His influence will continue to be felt by the great number of individuals whose lives he has touched over the years. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 14, 2017 in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs with Rev. Bill Graafsma officiating. Interment will be in the Grants Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Wednesday evening at Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs. Pallbearers will be Rodney Grant, Benny Grant, Gale Grant, Gary Meek, Vance Campbell and Bud Campbell. Honorary pallbearers will be Roger Wall, Dr. Bill Graafsma, Gerald Grant and Jimmy Grant.
