Rev. Terrell Holland

April 21, 1929 — June 8, 2012

Rev. Terrell Holland, age 83, of Glenwood, died Friday, June 8, 2012. He was born on April 21, 1929 at Duncan, Arizona, the son of Jim V. Holland and Zimmer Patton Holland. On December 23, 1951, he married Beverly Jo Ann Carmichael. He was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters and his great-grandson. Rev. Terrell pastored Free Will Baptist churches in Oklahoma and Arkansas for 48 years and served at the Glenwood Free Will Baptist Church for 13 years. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed playing golf in his later years. He was always able to bring a smile through a story, joke or encouraging word as he was concerned and loved everyone. He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Holland of Glenwood; his son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Rhonda Holland of Swifton; his daughter and son-in-law, Sherell and Bill Wingo of Tyler, Texas; five grandchildren and their spouses, Jennifer Lewis, Justin and Kayleen Wingo, Jerod Holland, Charolette and Jeremy Johnston, and Ryan Holland; seven great-grandchildren, Xavier and Zane Lewis, Tanner Holland, Kade and Conall Johnston and Billy and Kenley Wingo; his brother and sister-in-law, Murell and Dortha Holland of Nixa, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, June 10, 2012 in the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. David Taylor, Bro. Joe Short and Roger Holland officiating. Visitation will be Saturday evening, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the church. Interment will be in the Glenwood Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be Ron Holland, Roger Holland, Tommy Stevens, Lou Reid, Billy Plyler and Steve Turner. Honorary pallbearers will be James Holland, the Men of Glenwood Free Will Baptist Church and the doctors, nurses and staff of Glenwood Nursing and Rehab.
