Richard Glen Harris

Richard Glen Harris, age 66, of Amity, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2017. He was born on December 26, 1950, in McCaskill, the son of Harlous Avery Harris and Ethyl Anne Garner Harris. On January 17, 1969, he was married to Lynn Montez Webb. He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers, Sonny Harris, Velton "Pete" Harris, J. L. Harris, Billy Joe Harris, Sylvester Harris and Roy Harris; and two sisters, Juanita Price and Dean Lathrope. He was a retired truck driver; enjoyed fishing, working in his yard, and taking care of his puppies and cats. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend, whose greatest joy in life was spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Lynn Harris of Amity; one son and daughter-in-law, Tracy and Sarah Harris of Amity; two daughters and one son-in-law, Tabatha Wakefield and Tammy and Willie Ringer, all of Amity; eight grandchildren and their spouses, Lakin and Kyle Cranford, Kayla and Cameron Kitchens, Jessica Ringer, John Ringer, Wanda and Tim Pierce, Rebecca and Derek Prince, Jessika and Matt Pickett and Cody Harris; nineteen great-grandchildren; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Sue and Ray Emerton and Norma and Billy Sorrells, all of Amity and Betty and Floyd Lunceford of Pine Bluff; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members; and a host of wonderful friends. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, November 30, 2017, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood with Bro. John McAnally officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will be in the Jones Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Ringer, Kyle Stricklin, Tim Pierce, Matt Pickett, Steve Harris and Tracy Cranford. Honorary pallbearers will be Cody Harris, Cameron Kitchens, Derek Prince and David Lambert.
