Richard M. Price

Richard M. Price, age 51, of Daisy, passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2018. He was born on October 18, 1966 in Omaha, Nebraska, the son of Louis Myron Price and Nancy Norris Price. He was preceded in death by his parents. He was a United States Navy veteran and a computer technician who was considered excellent in this field. Since his move in February, he truly loved living in his home at Daisy. He enjoyed camping, music and even spoke Russian. For years, he corresponded with a Russian pen pal. He loved cats and had a heart for homeless and injured cats which he would rescue and take into his care. He was a co-founder of Stray Cats Alliance, a foundation that cared for these animals and promoted spaying and neutering. He was a Christian in his faith. He is survived by his wife, Jan Needham Price; two step-daughters, Missy Barrett and her husband, Jeff, and Wendy Price; his brother, Park Price, all of Daisy; five grandchildren, Stephanie Forrest, Alexis Barrett, Jerry Fant, Michael Fant and Zachary Fant; his nephew, David Southworth; and his niece, Mariah Price. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 7, 2018 at the home he loved at 30 West Fork Road, Daisy, Arkansas, with Reverend Robert Peek officiating. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Stray Cat Alliance, 30 West Fork Road, Kirby, Arkansas 71950.
