Robert “Bob” Swift, age 78, of Glenwood, passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2020.

He was born on July 3, 1942, in McAlester, Oklahoma, the son of William Velda Swift and Ellen Beatrice Ballard Swift. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Thaniel Swift II; his parents; and two sisters, Georgia Lee Graves and Lois Meredith King.

Bob was a Christian in his faith and truck driver. He was employed by Blackmon Oil and Alton Bean Trucking. He enjoyed “tinkering” around his home and growing things.

He survived by his children, John Dwayne Swift, Steven Royce Swift, Wanda Joann Swift and Paulina Renea Dodd; his brothers, Arthur Swift of Farmersville, California, Larry Swift of Oxnard, California and David Swift of Joplin, Missouri; his sisters, Ella Imogene Washburn of Citrus Heights, California and Ruth Sullivan of Pahrump, Nevada; and several nieces and nephews.

Following cremation, Bob will be laid to rest next to his son in County Line Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home and Crematory, Glenwood.
