Robert L. "Bob" Anderson

Robert L. "Bob" Anderson, age 68, of Oden, died Friday, December 14, 2012. He was born on February 16, 1944 at Hot Springs, the son of Robert Jodie Anderson and Retha Kinsey Anderson. On July 10, 1998, he was married to Mary Fryar. A retired law enforcement officer, he served twenty years with the Little Rock Police Department and four years with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Department. He was a member of the Little Hope Baptist Church and a Gideon. He is survived by his wife, Mary Anderson of Oden; his son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Dorie Anderson of Benton; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Darla Nichols of Springdale, Priscilla and Hugh Lumpkin of Stuttgart and Rebekah and Jon Hoffman of West Bend, Wisconsin; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Leon and Dorothy Anderson of Mount Ida, Ray and Helen Anderson of Hot Springs and Lloyd and Sue Anderson of Mount Ida; six grandchildren, Chris Nichols and his wife, Bailey, Brittany Nichols, Tara Clay, Chelsea Anderson, Dallas Hoffman and Lily Hoffman; two great-grandchildren, Bradyn Clay and Skyler Smith; nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, December 17, 2012, in the Little Hope Baptist Church with Bro. Andy Kennedy and Bro. Rusty Lewis officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, at Little Hope Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Mount Olive Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be Hugh Lumpkin, Doug Anderson, Allen Anderson, Darin Anderson, Dave Anderson and Chris Nichols. Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Fulks, Monty Vickers, Ronnie Thompson, Wallace Poole, Sonny Simpson, Dean Riggin, Dr. Fred Divers, Dr. Matthew Hulsey, Dr. Anupama Kaul and Dr. Siddharth Shah.
