Robert Lawrence "Bobby, the General" Lee

Robert Lawrence "Bobby, the General" Lee, 68, of Glenwood, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 25, 2018. He was born on February 15, 1950, in Hot Springs the son of Dr. Bob Lee and Nell Rigsby Lee. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his children, William C. Lee of Hot Springs, Liberty Lee of Fayetteville, and Annabel Johnson (Chris) of Little Rock; his siblings David C. Lee (Cricket), Dr. Allen R. Lee (Susan), and Annabelle Patterson (Jay); his grandsons, Garrett Lee, Elliott Johnson, and Charlie Johnson; numerous nieces and nephews; his former wife, Nitalyn Terrell Sigman; and his beloved dog, Charter. Bobby was a 1968 graduate of Hot Springs High School and attended both the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and Henderson College in Arkadelphia. He served honorably in the United States Navy in Vietnam from 1969 - 1971. Throughout his life, Bobby pursued his great love of golf as a PGA Professional, working as a teaching pro at various clubs around the U.S. Bobby spent his last day playing golf at the Glenwood Country Club where he worked as the Club Professional, shooting a 67, and spreading good cheer with his infectious grin and wicked sense of humor. A celebration of Bobbys life will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at 6:00 p.m. at the Mens Grill at Hot Springs Country Club. The family invites all of those who knew and loved Bobby to share in this remembrance. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arkansas State Golf Association Junior Program. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
