Robert Wayne "Perk" Perkins

Robert Wayne "Perk" Perkins, age 59, of Hopper, passed away Monday, August 3, 2015. He was born on November 1, 1955, in Harrison, the son of Pete Perkins and Myrtis Roberts Perkins. On January 10, 1984, he was married to Mona Gayle Murphy. He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandson, Dustin Wayne Perkins. He enjoyed the outdoors, was an avid fisherman and hunter, and a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family, whom he dearly loved with all his heart. He is survived by his wife, Mona Perkins of Hopper; one son and daughter-in-law, Robert Wayne, Jr. and Wendy Perkins of Texarkana, Texas; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Crimson and Daniel Jones of Kirby, Lisa Barr of Texarkana, Arkansas and Amber and Jerry Barkman of Glenwood; seven grandchildren, Daniel "Junior" Jones, Whyatt Jones, Zole Barkman, Jerry Barkman, Jr., Warner Wilder, Dilan Perkins and Gracie Perkins; four brothers; two sisters; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members; and a host of wonderful friends. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM., Thursday, August 6, 2015, in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Caddo Gap with Bro. Joe Cogburn officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be Billy Pate, Robert Barrett, Steven Kirkpatrick, Andrew Barrett, Darrell Moore and Chuck Gibbs.
