Ronald J. Engroff, age 84, of Caddo Gap, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2016. He was born on May 1, 1932, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Joseph Engroff and Ann Reeb Engroff. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Delores Johnson. A U.S. Army veteran, he served in the Korean Conflict, attended the Glenwood First Church of the Nazarene; and was employed with Adams Business Forms in Topeka, Kansas for over 40 years until his retirement, at which time he and Patty found their dream retirement home and moved to Caddo Gap to enjoy the river life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, was a true outdoorsman, loved to collect things that he would always meticulously guard and take care of, and he also enjoyed playing dominoes with his friends. Ron was a wonderful and cherished husband, father and grandfather, and will be deeply missed by all. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Patty Engroff of Caddo Gap; his daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Dan Reeves of Fort Worth, Texas; three grandchildren, Tanner Reeves, Kacey Reeves and Zack Reeves; one brother John Engroff of Columbus, Kansas; several nieces, nephews and extended family members; and a host of wonderful friends. A celebration of his life will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, May 31, 2016, in the Glenwood First Church of the Nazarene with Bro. J. B. Evans, Bro. Gerald Matthew Palmer and Bro. Andrew Rushing officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Compassionate Ministries or to the Youth Fund of the Glenwood First Church of the Nazarene, 776 Hwy. 70 E, Glenwood, Arkansas, 71943. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
