Rosie O'Neal, age 80, of Murfreesboro, died Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at the Murfreesboro Nursing Center in Murfreesboro. She was born on June 21, 1931, in Murfreesboro, the daughter of Eulis Cox and Nola Anderson Cox. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry O'Neal; her daughter, Judy Irene; and her grandson, Timothy Fritts. Rosie was a Christian and a long-time employee of the Pike County Hospital, where she provided compassion and loving care of the patients entrusted to her. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and a friend to all that knew her. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Susie O'Neal of Delight; her daughter and son-in-law, Rosemary and Mike Fritts of Murfreesboro; her grandchildren, Michelle and Mike Feuget and Micah Fritts, all of Murfreesboro, Jeremy O'Neal of Delight and Whitney and Chris Peterson of Waldo; and six great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, April 12, 2012, in the Hicks Cemetery with Jerry O'Neal officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be Mike Fritts, Micah Fritts, Jerry O'Neal, Jeremy O'Neal, Buddy Cox and Woody Chambers. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
