Royce David Tucker

Royce David Tucker, age 51, of Newhope, died Friday, May 6, 2011. He was born on June 13, 1959, in Fortuna, California, the son of Bill J. Tucker and Nola Belle Tucker. He was preceded in death by his father. He worked for several years as a logger in the timber industry. He is survived by his son, Michael Rather of Atoka, Oklahoma; his step-daughter, Emily Moore of Newhope; his parents, Joe and Nola Feemster of Newhope; three brothers and one sister-in-law, Randy and Norma Tucker, Oneal Tucker and Tony Tucker, all of Newhope; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Joan and Jim Wigley of Vega, Texas, Kathy Schaffer and friend, Richard Payne, of Sawyer, Oklahoma, Karen and Mike Fortenberry of Adrian, Texas and Deana and Donnie Manasco of Newhope; one step-brother, John Feemster of Indiana; two step-sisters, Kathy Lawalin and Tina Young both of Indiana; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 3:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 10, 2011, in the Pleasant Grove Free Will Baptist Church in Newhope with Bro. Kenny Fant officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday, 1:30 PM until service time at the church. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be Delton Launius, Dallas Simmons, Billy Barber, Pablo Frias, Benny Deaton, Donnie Manasco and Brian Tucker. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
