Ruth Elaine Rohrbauck

October 23, 1939 — December 24, 2021

Ruth Elaine Rohrbauck, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and resident of Bonnerdale, AR, stepped into the loving arms of her Savior on December 24, 2021.

Elaine is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Jerry Rohrbauck; daughters, Victoria (Terry)Williams, Valerie (Mike)McGilvray, Vellana (John)Sorensen, and Velynda (John)Boyce; daughter in law, Ludy Rohrbauck; grandchildren, Joseph Williams, Jacob Williams, Jennifer (Jason)Kern, Rachel Sorensen, Hannah Sorensen, Nathan Sorensen, Micaela Sorensen, Elise Boyce, John Boyce V, Korina Boyce; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Jason, Corbin, Khalil; brother Lyle (Phyllis)Kenzy. She is reunited with her sons, Allen Rohrbauck and Brian Rohrbauck; her granddaughter Aleyna Boyce; and her parents, Donald and Marjorie Kenzy.

Elaine was born in Gregory, South Dakota to Donald and Marjorie Kenzy. She married her high school sweetheart, Jerry Rohrbauck on May 19, 1957. Together they welcomed six children and built a beautiful home they loved in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.

Elaine’s faith was very important to her, and she served alongside friends in many ways. She helped prepare the food for the men’s prayer breakfast and her homemade biscuits were always a favorite item. She led a Good New’s club out of their home for the neighborhood children. Every Sunday, she and Jerry could be found serving together at the information center at their church. She enjoyed cooking and baking and taught each of her daughters well. She was skilled in crocheting and sewing and could be found diligently working on a new piece of hand embroidery. Many of which were lovingly made into a blanket for each of her grandchildren. She had a servant’s heart and was ready to help anyone in need. Having friends over for a meal was always a special time. She leaves behind many prayer partners and treasured friends. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

“She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: “Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.” Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Give her the fruit of her hands, and let her works praise her in the gates.”

Proverbs 31:27-31
