Sarah Frances Hilton Shaddock

August 27, 1935 — August 5, 2020

Sarah Frances Hilton Shaddock, age 84, of Hot Springs, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 5, 2020.

Sarah was born on August 27, 1935, in Hot Springs the daughter of Marvin M. Hilton and Blanche Burrough Hilton. She married Don W. Shaddock on December 27, 1956. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Wendell Hilton and Reverend Gerald Hilton; one great-granddaughter, Kinley Cozart.

Sarah was a member of 1st Church of the Nazarene, Hot Springs. She was a loving daughter, devoted wife and mother. She was a stay-at-home mother and homemaker for the first nineteen years of her marriage. She worked in the family business, Hilton Furniture Company for years. She and her husband, Don, owned and operated two Subway Sandwich shops in Ft. Smith. For the last thirteen years Sarah worked at J.C. Penny, where she felt she had a second loving family.

Nothing on earth was more important to her than her family. While it hurts us deeply for her to go, we know she is happy beyond measure, now at home with the Lord in Paradise.

She is survived by her husband; one son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Kelly Shaddock; four daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Mike Cozart of Bryant, Angela and Greg Bennett of Kearney Missouri, Lisa and John Schwaesdall and Pamela and Gary Martin of Benton; nine grandchildren, Michael and Kristen Cozart, Matthew and Christy Cozart, Erin and Hunter Loy, Allison Bennett, Elizabeth Gipson, Lauren and Aaron Hodges, Shad Schwaesdall, Kyle and Shelbie Martin and Emily and Austin McEuen; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Private family graveside services will be held.

Donations may be made in Sarah’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
