Sgt. Major James H. Snow

Sgt. Major James H. Snow, age 56, of Mountain Pine, passed away April 23, 2021.

James was born on May 14, 1964, in Midwest City, Oklahoma, the son of John Harold Snow and Margaret Ann Sanderson Snow. On December 27, 1987, he married Donna Boyer.

James was a member of the First Baptist Church of Royal. He retired from the United States Army as a Sgt. Major in July of 2009, and continued with the Department of Defense as a contractor from 2009 until 2021. He loved his country. James enjoyed woodworking as well as hunting and fishing. He loved spending time with his family and truly enjoyed his grandchildren. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, son and brother. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Snow of Mountain Pine; his two daughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer and J.C. Hodges and Kathryn and Chase Bufford, all of Benton; his grandchildren, John Hodges, Kenna Hodges, Nick Snow, Aly Snow and Paisley Bufford; his parents, John and Margaret Snow of Hazen; his two brothers and sisters-in-law, Steve and Brenda Snow of Gravette and Joe and Angela Snow of Benton; nieces, nephews, extended family members and many good friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, April 28, 2021, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs, with Bro. George Lynch officiating.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, prior to service at the funeral home.

Interment will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, April 29, 2021, in the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, North Little Rock.
